An open invitation  to all artists to participate in an exciting community project:

Clay in Common

at India Art Fair 2024.

The Indian Ceramics Triennale is extending an opportunity to all artists working in clay to be part of a community art project proposed by the Indian Ceramics Triennale to be shown at the India Art Fair in 2024.

In keeping with the curatorial premise of the second iteration of the Indian Ceramics Triennale, Common Ground, we aim to highlight the diversity of ceramic art to create an immersive and interactive experience for visitors at the India Art Fair 2024, where they can engage with the art and appreciate the talent within our community. The installation titled “Clay in Common” celebrates the immense possibilities of the material and will be a fusion of individual artistic voices, forming a cohesive and visually stunning experience.

The installation will be on display at the India Art Fair in Okhla, New Delhi for the period of the fair from 1 February to 4 February 2024. It will be on view at other venues in the city as well.

Your brief is to capture the immense possibilities of clay in your artwork. We ask you to find inspiration in one or several of the following broad concepts:

1. Vibrant

2. Bold

3. Lines and dots

4. Bright and Colourful

5. Fun

6. Energetic

7. Texturous

The installation comprises a number of columns. Each of these will hold the artworks contributed by participating artists. Each participating artist is invited to send one ceramic artwork to form part of the installation.
